Wingstop Partners with Feeding America to Fight Hunger
Dallas -

Almost 200 restaurants to accept donations for nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity

DALLAS – Wingstop is Feeding America! Wingstop restaurants across the country are joining a national campaign with Feeding America to support the organization’s mission to feed America’s hungry. From June 21 through July 11, Wingstop guests can help provide food assistance to the millions in the United States facing hunger through contributions at participating restaurants or online at http://www.wingstop.com/Feeding-America.aspx.

Almost 200 Wingstop restaurants nationwide are involved in the program, with the goal to raise $25,000 through monetary contributions over the three-week period.

“Feeding America’s network of food banks provides assistance to millions of Americans facing hunger every day,” said Jim Flynn, president and CEO of Wingstop. “Wingstop is a proud partner of this organization, and we invite our guests to help support the effort by donating loose change, a dollar, whatever your situation allows.”

Feeding America supplies food to more than 25 million Americans each year, and supports approximately 63,000 local charitable agencies that distribute food directly to those in need. Feeding America’s agencies operate more than 70,000 programs including food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, after-school programs, Kids Cafes, Community Kitchens and BackPack Programs.

About Wingstop

Wingstop offers restaurants with a nostalgic, aviation-themed atmosphere where the sole focus is on chicken wings. Wingstop features nine wing flavors, including Original Hot, Cajun, Atomic, Mild, Teriyaki, Lemon Pepper, Hawaiian, Garlic Parmesan, and Hickory Smoked BBQ. The wings are cooked-to-order and customers can also choose from homemade side dishes including fresh-cut seasoned fries, bourbon baked beans, potato salad, creamy cole slaw, vegetable sticks, rolls and assorted dipping sauces. Wingstop recently received an American Business Award for Best Overall Company and was chosen Wing King at the 2006 National Buffalo Wing Festival. Troy Aikman, three-time Super Bowl champion and Hall of Fame quarterback, has served as the chain’s national spokesman since 2003.
