Veranda Preston Hollow Hosts Veterans Benefits Seminar
Dallas - DALLAS, TEXAS, AUGUST 6, 2009: Veranda Preston Hollow recently hosted a presentation on veterans benefits given by Timothy Munderloh, veteran benefits coordinator of American Retirement Services, LLC. More than 40 residents and guests gathered to learn how to obtain veterans benefits for assisted living and nursing home care.

“I am very passionate about educating veterans and their families about the spectrum of benefits and currently untapped resources provided by the U.S. government,” said Munderloh. “Thousands of senior citizens go bankrupt every year and I hope to help reduce that number through education and the assistance Veterans Affairs programs provide.”

Following the presentation, residents and guests enjoyed refreshments and tours of the community.

The Dallas Home for Jewish Aged was established in 1953 as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, faith-based senior living residence and has served the community by offering a unique continuum of care that enables residents to stay in place with assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and long term care.

In August 2007, the Dallas Home for Jewish Aged relocated from 2525 Centerville Road to the heart of North Dallas at Veranda Preston Hollow, located at 11409 North Central Expressway.

Built in 2001, the community features 41 assisted living apartments, 113 skilled nursing beds and a state-of-the-art Medicare unit. Veranda Preston Hollow – Dallas Home for Jewish Aged is a partner agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas.

Veranda is family service-oriented and open to people of all faiths. For questions regarding admissions, please call (214) 363-5100 or visit www.verandaprestonhollow.org.
